Witnessing the nesting and hatching of a rare animal that may live for 200 years is a unique Queensland natural encounter you won’t soon forget.

A large variety of turtles such as the loggerhead, green, leatherback and flatback nest from November to March each year along the Queensland coast. From Bundaberg in the south, to the Cape in the tropical north, as well on the islands of the Southern Great Barrier Reef (Lady Elliot Island, Heron Island, Wilson Island, and Lady Musgrave Island).

Mon Repos is Australia’s most accessible sea turtle rookery
At Mon Repos Conservation Park, near Bundaberg, witness one of the true wonders of the natural world in a controlled environment. Each year hundreds of turtles return to these bountiful waters to complete a cycle that begun at their own birth.

Turtle Experience Tours at Mon Repos
